Storing energy and releasing thermal energy

Prototype Unit

Prototype Unit

How it works

  • Thermal or electrical energy is stored as chemical bonds.
  • Heat (90-170F) is released by supplying humid air

Advantages

  • Store heat indefinitely at room temp,  release heat using only a battery powered humidifier
  • Store 6kWh in a unit about the size of a large briefcase (20kg)
  • Intrinsically safe, no chemicals, no combustion, only water and air
  • Remote/internet controlled operation

Applications

  • Emergency heat (plugs into your adapter plug)
  • First responders (e.g.  Hurricane Sandy)
  • Room heating
  • Truck cab heating without using diesel engine
  • Containerized freight modular heating (freeze protection)
